It's the final countdown! Today marked our very first @fifaworldcup Friday, and the Pridwin boys came out in full, glorious force, painting the campus green and gold to back @bafanabafanaofficial!

The boys are sending a massive wave of South African pride to the national team as they prepare to clash with Mexico in their opening FIFA World Cup match on Thursday, 11 June 2026. From the classrooms to the sports fields, the energy today was absolutely palpable - the gees is real!

We are incredibly proud of our boys in green and gold, and we know they are going to make the entire nation proud on the world stage. Pridwin is standing with Bafana Bafana every single step of the way, cheering them on until the final whistle blows! Let's do this!

Three talented speakers per grade were chosen to participate, bravely stepping up to foster their public speaking skills and command the room. We are incredibly proud of their outstanding performances and the well-deserved awards they brought home!

Two weeks ago, Pridwin officially rewrote the part

Two weeks ago, Pridwin officially rewrote the party playbook! We broke boundaries and hosted our first-ever phone-free Grade 6 & 7 Social, and the energy was absolute magic.

With a Retro Rewind theme, we threw it back to an era of cassette tapes, Polaroid cameras, and blissfully zero Wi-Fi. Phones were locked away in safes, trading screen time for real-life face time. The result? An epic night of actual connection, old-school party games, and non-stop dancing under the stars.

A massive thank you to the legendary Grade 7 parents who organised this fun-filled and filter-free party!

The learning never stops for teachers! Pridwin was absolutely thrilled to host educators and school leaders from across Southern Africa for a phenomenal conference, "From Mindset to Practice: Deepening Inquiry Across Classrooms and Grade Levels." This incredible event featured global inquiry authority @trev_mackenzie and was proudly organised by @thinkingschoolssouthafrica.

The energy on campus was electric as we bypassed the educational buzzwords and got stuck into the real, practical magic of classroom inquiry. Trevor challenged us to rethink the traditional roles of both teacher and learner, pushing us to step back so our boys can step up! From interactive workshops to analysing real classroom footage, it was an incredible day of collaboration designed to spark genuine student agency, voice, and deep thinking.

At Pridwin, we are committed to moving great ideas from a beautiful philosophy into a daily classroom reality. We left with notebooks bursting with ideas, and the momentum doesn't stop here!

On Friday, Pridwin came together for a spectacular

On Friday, Pridwin came together for a spectacular Africa Day celebration. Our boys marked the occasion with a special assembly, dressing in beautiful attire that proudly represents the rich diversity and pride of African identity.

The celebrations extended beyond the assembly, as we were treated to a proudly South African hot lunch and immersed in incredible music. We enjoyed vibrant performances from our Marimba groups, as well as our special African ensemble playing unique instruments sourced from all over Africa.

While Pridwin is home to boys from all corners of the globe, today serves as a powerful reminder of our shared identity. No matter where our families originate, we walk the same corridors and live by the spirit of Ubuntu - the profound truth that "I am because we are."

Through rhythm, colour, and community, our boys showed that unity and heritage go hand in hand.

We are celebrating a phenomenal opening weekend of fixtures, with some impressive performances and results! Looking back on the weekend, it’s clear where our boys get their talent - their families.

Following on from the success of the Community Touch Rugby Tournament two weekends ago - a standout feature of the Pridwin Rugby 7s - teams comprising Old Boys, current and past parents, as well as staff, took to the field for a battle of the fittest and most skillful.

Congratulations again to The Knights on capturing the coveted trophy. The apple certainly doesn't fall far from the tree!

We caught up with them while they were shopping up a storm at the Grade 7 Mother’s Day Market, and let’s just say... the insight they shared about their moms was as heart-warming as it was hilarious.

Whether it’s a handmade treasure or a carefully chosen treat, we know it comes with a mountain of appreciation. We hope every mother, grandmother, and mother-figure in our community has had a truly spectacular day being celebrated!
