At Pridwin we celebrate sporting excellence, and our cricket boys are causing a buzz!

26 of our boys have been chosen to represent the code across a number of area cricket teams both in North East and Gauteng East Regional - with Luke Smithyman and Mohapi Ntseare being chosen to represent Pridwin for the Gauteng Central Lions on the 30, 31 November and 1 and 2 December 2024.

We are still celebrating the annual Pridwin Speech

We are still celebrating the annual Pridwin Speech festival which was hosted earlier this term. Six boys (from the Junior Grades 4 & 5 and Senior Grades 6 & 7) were chosen to represent each grade and an external adjudicator chose the overall winners. Our boys spoke with such courage and confidence!

Congratulations go to Lethokuhle Thabethe, Benjamin Yuill, William Dixon Smith and Callum Wilson for winning their respective grades.

We're truly proud of all the participants!

After months of work, the PPA OUTREACH is pleased

After months of work, the PPA OUTREACH is pleased to announce that the bakery at St Vincent’s is up and running. The learners at the school are now enjoying their daily bread freshly baked by students at the school.

For years, we have been supporting St Vincent by supplying bread, and throughout this time, we have been seeking a way to bring about sustainability. We are excited to share that we have finally achieved this goal!

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the funds received from our parents at the start of each year. Our sincere appreciation to all of you!

Their journey has officially begun! Yesterday we welcomed the Pridwin Grade 0 2025 boys and what an exciting afternoon it was.

During the orientation, the buddying Knights met their future Big Brothers (2025 Grade 7s) and teachers, and also got to spend time in their new classrooms and spaces – taking home with them the highly sought-after Pridwin Teddy Bears. The Pridwin staff also got to spend some time with our new parents, over music by the Marimba bands, entertainment by the Grade 3s and eats - while they shopped up a storm for the all-important uniform!

The Baragwanath Paediatric Burns Unit was opened o

The Baragwanath Paediatric Burns Unit was opened on 17 January 1991 - and sees approximately 400 children being admitted per year, with almost 25% of these children requiring intensive care.

For the past 13 years, Pridwin has been actively raising funds to assist the great work being done by the unit, and this year’s Knight Run will be no different.

On 9 November 2024 we aim to raise enough money to pay for much needed vitamins for the patients and provide some items on the children’s wish lists. Click on the link on our bio to donate towards this cause or to book your tickets for the 2.5/5 km Fun walk/run.

Last week Friday Pridwin was honoured to host the Inter Schools C25 Swimming Gala. Teams from The Ridge, St John’s, St Stithians and St Benedict’s joined our swimming team right here at Pridwin, with the B25 gala taking place at the St Benedict’s pool.

At the gala we got to put our new electronic start and wireless stopwatch timing systems to the test! Amongst several timing capabilities, these pieces of technology also provided an accurate visual cue to hearing-impaired athletes through the flash-with-start signal at the start of each race.

Last night the Pridwin community came together to celebrate the sheer talent and creativity of our boys in the annual Art Exhibition. “I am an artist” showcased art pieces created by Grades 0 right through to 7, with music by our incredible jazz band.

Thank you to renowned artist Bronwen Findlay for celebrating our artists with us as she officially opened the exhibition. Congratulations to all our boys and art teachers for an amazing exhibition, and thank you to the parents for their continued support.

At Pridwin we support our community. That is why last weekend we opened our gardens to vendors to showcase their businesses to our captive audience at the Pridwin Fun Day!

The Fun Day was a cashless event, which saw parents and boys utilising technology through preloaded cards and wristbands to shop up a storm at the market!

We wish all our vendors success with their ventures and endeavours!

Where would we be without our incredible parents and wider Pridwin Community?!

During the course of last weekend's Fun Day, parents were encouraged to share their favourite moments during the day, for them to be broadcast live on a giant screen for all to enjoy!

The Fun Day Photo Wall featured parents taking part in various activities around the Fun Day such as shopping at the market and relaxing at the Classique Garden indulging in some tasting, sampling as well as purchasing!
